The summer days are winding down (already??), and while that's a little bittersweet, getting ready for back-to-school can be an exciting time! We've put together a fun checklist to help you and your family get ready for the new school year. From practical tasks to last-minute adventures, this list has you covered.

🎒 Tackle the To-Do List Together

  • Supply Shopping Adventure: Turn the supply run into a scavenger hunt! Give each kid a list of items to find in the store. Let them pick out a fun new backpack or lunchbox to get them excited about the year ahead.
  • Check Those Feet: It's amazing how much kids' feet can grow over the summer. Get their new school shoes early to make sure they're comfortable and ready for the first day.
  • Organize a "Donation Day": Go through old clothes and toys to see what you can donate or pass on. It's a great way to tidy up before the school year starts and teach kids the value of giving back.

☀️ Squeeze in One More Summer Adventure

  • Host a Backyard Campout: You don't need to go far for a memorable night. Pitch a tent in the backyard, roast some marshmallows, and tell stories under the stars.
  • Visit a Local Splash Pad or Pool: Beat the heat one last time! Take the kids to their favorite splash pad or community pool for a final summer swim session.
  • Go on a "Yes Day": Let the kids call the shots for a day! Within reason, of course. Maybe it's a trip to their favorite park, an ice cream stop, or a movie marathon. The goal is to make a day of happy memories before the routine kicks in.

☕ Self-Care for Super-Moms

  • Schedule a Coffee Date: Connect with a friend for a much-needed chat. A quick coffee break can work wonders.
  • Plan a Quiet Evening In: Once the kids are in bed, treat yourself to a little me-time. Watch your favorite show, read a book, or take a relaxing bath. You've earned it!
  • Find Your New Podcast: Start a new podcast to listen to on your morning walk or during your commute. It's a simple way to learn something new or just have a few minutes to yourself.
